Brahms - Violin Sonata 3 [Znaider/Bronfman]

This is my ongoing delving into this wonderful disc, last month i tasted the Second Sonata [3rd February 2011], and the month before that was the First Sonata [5th January 2011], so now here's the Third and last Sonata, just looking through my Blog, i had 9 Brahms Violin Sonata entries in 2010, and already 3 this year, it's a very popular work in my life, and with 10 different discs of these Sonatas, there's lots to choose from, and lots of perspectives / angles to get a varied opinion.

Nikolaj Znaider is a Danish Violinist, born in 1975, and this disc was recorded in 2005, the booklet is my own concoction, really it's the back of the booklet, but with rub on white transfers for the lettering, i think it looks great, the photograph is by Vanessa Lenz, and it's a great pic, showing both the piano and the violin, with dark colours, and shades of brown, almost like a monotone picture, very well balanced.
