And yet another Brahms complete Violin Sonatas disc appears in my Blog, this is the eighth, but i have quite a few more, each isn't a twin of the others, every one has a character and uniqueness all of their own, and it's good to have Kyung-Wha Chung's interpretation of these wonderful works, this isn't a new disc i've cracked open, i've had it for roughly 7 years, but i just haven't played it for a while, and it's good to revisit it today.
Kyung-Wha Chung is South Korean, born in 1948, she is now 63, and she made this recording back in 1995, it's recorded in a fairly reverberant acoustic, but you get used to it, the front cover photograph [by Mike Owen] is quite fair, a black and white, or more like a dark brown and light cream.
