Wow!, this was a lovely revelation, sometimes these 'original instruments' discs really hit you, the strings are lithe, and the brass and percussion are to the fore, a really nice sound indeed, you end up hearing what Mozart probably heard, though not a very well filled disc [about 46 minutes], it's certainly made up for on quality.
Frans Bruggen is Dutch, and is now 76, and in 1981 he founded the Orchestra on this disc, one of the major reasons for buying this disc, apart from of course the music appealing to me, is the front cover looked so good, a thoughtful pose from Bruggen [by Fernando Van Teylingen], very nicely lit, showing shadows towards the back of the head,
