A couple of decades ago i bought a cheap cassette tape with a few Mozart Violin Sonatas on it, and i just fell in love with this Sonata, especially its first movement, it really has an incredible forward momentum to it, and it's good to find a nice one disc survey of a few Mozart Sonatas, and Hahn has chosen a good selection.
Hilary Hahn is American, a superstar Violinist, now 31 years of age, she recorded this disc in 2004, one of the reasons i invested in it, was that it's such a nice package, the front cover is excellent [by Kasskara], i take it shot on the streets on New York, it's actually clever and creative to have slanting buildings in the background, and with a hip level shot, you can feel the scale, and of course there's movement too, as the two girls walk along enjoying the moment.
