I love these RCA Classical Navigator discs, it's a lovely series, and there's some great gems to be had, this is one i recently acquired, and got to give it a spin today, the recording is from 1984, and it's digital, however it sounds more like it came out of the fifties or sixties, the sound isn't that great, and it's good to have Rachmaninov's two best known Concertos on a single disc.
Victor Eresko is a Russian, now 68 years old, he recorded this disc in 1984, the front cover shows a map of Europe and the western Soviet Union, maybe it's the fact i just like maps, the colours are great.
