This was a very special experience, i played these on a long walk to Church [disc one], and then the long walk back home [disc two], Pollini is superb, a true genius and master of the piano, he's had decades of playing these Nocturnes to perfect them, and it really shows, the way he uses colours, very slight inflections, he has a real palette at his command, subtle ideas and changes, whether in speed or volume all show, he knows when to slightly hang back a note for real effect, i marvelled again and again, he plays these nigh perfect, it's a pity he didn't include the two posthumous Nocturnes and complete the set, a rare spiritual experience even.
